Returning to reality

Ahhh yes, so we are back from vacation.  I returned only to become particually ill… but enough about me.  Let’s talk about Branson.

After flying into the wrong state, driving hours in a mini van that was wriggling like a fish, and finding out a lot of shows were over as was the “tourist season” we had a WONDERFUL time!  It was so relaxing.  It was very good.

We all know the best part of vacation… THE FOOD!

Chocolate covered twinkie, anyone?

 Oh and who could forget

The burger to rival all others

Oh yes… then there was

A little, more than a little, bit of BBQ heaven

With that came

Deep fried rolls, who can say no?!

Who doesn’t love good food porn?

Southern Food... Yummy blackened chicken

And really what vacation for a 20-something person doens’t include
Beer...

Beer...

more beer

more beer

Then there was my favorite part of the whole trip
Fantastic Funny Hats at the Caverns

OK well, the hats have nothing to do with food, but really what category do you put that into?
It is good to be home.  Jaiden has completed day two of 1st grade, which amazes me.  How did she get to be so big?  How did she get to be so old?  I am very happy that we have opened a new chapter in our lives.  It was a chapter six years in the making.  I know I should be sad, I am more excited.  She is in a whole new world with kids and spending lots of time there.  I am proud that the work we have done as parents has lead us to be excited rather than scared.
Here she is off to join the big girls at full time school

I could put up a thousand pictures of our trip and the things I found fun or interesting or the pictures I love of my daughter and husband and family… but all in time.  I’ll share more later.
Believe it or not, I got a hole in one!
